Troubleshooting

Quick, specific fixes for the most common eSIM hiccups — pick what’s happening.

No signal after landingYou’ve arrived, but your phone shows “No Service” or can’t find a network.eSIM installed but no internetYour travel eSIM line is active and shows signal, but web pages and apps won’t load.QR code already scannedScanning shows “this code is no longer valid” or “already used”.iPhone data not switching to your travel eSIMYour iPhone keeps using your home SIM for data instead of your travel eSIM.

Not sure your phone supports eSIM?

Open your phone’s dialler and enter this code. It shows your device’s identification numbers straight away — no settings, no internet needed.

*#06#

You see an EID
Your phone supports eSIM. It’s a long number, usually 32 digits, listed under or beside the IMEI.
Only an IMEI
No EID means the phone can’t use an eSIM. You’d need a physical SIM instead.

Some phones show the EID as a QR code rather than digits — that counts too. On a locked phone, check with your carrier: a phone can support eSIM and still be blocked from using another network.
